Organic / Natural Deals – Walgreens Orange Closeout Tags on Natural/Organic Products including Yes To Products

I now know that Walgreens has a small Organic/Naturals section and I accidentally stumbled upon an orange tag sale on some of these products such as Yes To Products. If you happened to print $2/1 Yes to Carrots, Cucumbers or Blueberries body product (now out of prints) and haven’t used it yet it would make for some nice Yes To Products for around .19¢.

I bought Yes To Tomatoes Shampoo and Conditioner for $2.19 each and Out of Africa Organic soap for $1.59. I also stocked up on some Nice! Baking Soda at Walgreens for .59¢ with an in ad coupon. They do this sale regularly and Baking Soda is awesome for many natural cleaning and household uses.

Fantastic Free Studio 35 Nail Polish Remover

There is a really fantastic deal to get free Studio 35 Nail Polish Remover at Walgreens. These make fantastic filler items because the only coupon they require is the Walgreens coupon so they increase your item count and you can use more manufacture coupons. Also the cashier told us that there is no limit on the coupon so you can get more than two with one coupon.

Buy 2 Studio 35 Nail Polish Removers 8-10 oz., 2/$2
Use the $1/1 Studio 35 Polish Remover 8-16 oz., Walgreens January Coupon Book (deducts $1 per nail polish remover)
Cost after coupons- Free!

1-1-12 Walgreens Couponing Trip

I did really well at Walgreens this morning. I spent $6.45 and saved $44.57. We needed toilet paper and when I have to buy it I like to see how much I can get for the $5 I already plan on spending on a needed item. However, this wasn’t one of those easy savings days, this morning I really had to work for it. I’m a little bit sick which probably really slowed me down. I did 5 transactions one or two at a time then reevaluated the coupons I had for the next transaction so that I could save the most. We all know Walgreens limits the number of manufacture coupons (including their register rewards) to one per item in your transaction so you usually need a filler item such as the candle .20¢, hand cream .49¢, or candy .25¢. I also used the dawn .49¢ after coupons and Canned oranges .69¢ after coupons as filler items because I wanted to buy them anyway.

(2) Buy 2 Triaminic Kids Pain Reliever, on sale 2/$10
Use two $3/1 Triaminic Fever Reducer Pain Reliever manufacturer coupon, 12/4 SS
and use the $1/1 Triaminic coupon in the Walgreens January coupon book (Note- I was able to use this coupon for $1 off but it is really for the 2 pack Triaminic so it will beep and will not subtract the $2 off that a lot of couponing sites are claiming it will)
Price after coupons- $3 and receive $5 RR

(2) Madam Mandarin Orange, 11 oz, 59¢ w/in-ad coupon
Price after coupons- $.59 each

(2) Real Soft Bathroom Tissue, 12 double rolls, or Tuf Paper Towels, 8 rolls, 2 for $8 w/in-ad coupon
Price after coupons- $4 each

(2) $2 RR WYB Muscletech Smart Protein Bar, 2.2 oz, at $1.99
Price- $1.99 each and receive $2 RR each

(2) Dawn Dish Soap .99 w/ in ad coupon
– Used .50 off Dawn coupon from the 1/1 PG
Price after coupons- $.49 each

(1) $4 RR WYB Gillette Venus or Fusion ProGlide Razor System at $9.99
-$5 off Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor, PG 1/01
Price after coupons- $5 and receive $4 RR
Note- This came with a free shave gel

Filler items-
Candle .20¢
Hand cream .49¢
Candy .25¢

The reason I did 5 transactions was because I continued to use the register rewards from each transaction towards my next transaction to keep my price as low as possible. This is time consuming because you have to do the math and use filler items.

Spent $6.45

Saved $44.57

Final Price:  FREE+ $20 overage if you buy two
Deal Details-You must have them scan the manufacture’s coupon and then the Walgreens coupon. For this deal to work you must have $20 worth of stuff for the overage to subtract. I bought a $25 Gift Card that only cost me $5 after the overage. I consider this a deal that really depends on the cashier and the store so be prepared to politely put a few things back if it doesn’t work out. Often Walgreens will simply give you the item for free with no overage.
Thanks to Shopper Strategy for this idea.

12-7-11 Walgreens Shopping Trip

Walgreens had a great deal on tape this week.I stocked up because I needed to buy tape to wrap presents. This isn’t the exact tape I would have bought but it will work just as well. I love it when I run out of something only to find it for FREE!

W by Duck Packing Tape 99¢ w/in-ad coupon
-$1 off Duck brand tape products, SS 11/20
Price After Coupons- Free

I bought this in two transactions. I bought the cup and candy stick as filler items to absorb the .03¢ overage because Walgreens registers can be tricky and I will use them for Xmiss.

Walgreens Cheap Baking Soda and Baking Powder

Today is the last day to take advantage of Walgreens Cheap Baking Soda and Baking Powder. The last page on their ad has a coupon that makes them .50¢ each which is good for baking ingredients. I am also told that there was a Clabber Girl coupon for the baking powder but I have been unable to find it.

Why You Should Always Browse the Clearance Section

I was at my local Walgreens a couple days ago when I spotted a cart containing the stuff pictured above. I don’t generally carry a lot of coupons on me when I go shopping, mostly just the ones I hope to use. I still like to browse the clearance sections at stores to see if I see anything that I know I have coupons for at home. The problem was that I would often forget exactly what was there and the prices. Now that I have a smart phone (that I bought secondhand for really cheap by the way) I have started taking pictures so that I can go home and look up any coupons I might have.

You can find coupons that are available for any product by using free coupon databases on different websites. I most often use the coupon database on SouthernSavers.com. I did find some coupons that would have made some of this stuff even cheaper, but I didn’t find any coupons that would have made anything free or dirt cheap which is always my goal. I didn’t end up going back this time but I’m glad I looked because this is always a chance to get some free stuff.

10-20-11 Walgreens Shopping Trip

At Walgreens we did really well getting some necessary items and some fun ones too. We had a really great cashier who helped a lot and allowed us to do four separate transactions for which lowered the out of pocket cost a lot. I used the Register Rewards (RRs) I received from earlier transactions for later transactions so I didn’t have to pay as much in cash. Remember- if you use RRs you received for buying an item to buy the same item again, new RRs will not print out
