7-10-12 Publix Shopping Trip

So this shopping trip at Publix I needed to get quite a few things that I didn’t have coupons for so that definitely raised my out of pocket costs. To lower them I used a $5 off of $25 Save A Lot competitor coupon and a slight overage on the Bayer. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a sale and coupon on the energy drinks and get 4 for $5. My boyfriend uses them for work and if he buys them there they are $4 for 1. I won’t bore you with the regularly priced groceries but here are the coupon deals I did in this trip-

4 Bayer Asprins- $2.63 each (I believe regular price)
– Used 4 $3 off coupons
Cost after coupons- -.37 cents moneymaker on each

6 Advil Liquid Gels 40 count – On sale for $4.49
-Used 3 $5 off 2 Advil Publix Coupons from the Green Advantage Buy Flyer
-and Used 6 $1 off Advil coupons from an assortment of places including RP 5/20
Cost after coupons- .99 cents each

Note- If you are lucky enough to find the $2 off each peelie coupons on the product this is a moneymaker deal. Both of my local stores were sold out but .99 cents each was a good enough stock up deal for me

1 Four Pack of Rockstar Energy Drinks- On Sale $5.99
– Used $1 off Publix coupon from the Yellow Advantage Flyer
Cost after coupons- $4.99

– Used $5 off of $25 Save A Lot competitor coupon

I was very excited to finally sit down and write about this week’s Publix trip that included deli lunch meat and cheese, hand soap, moneymakers on baby food and dog bones and finally getting to use my raincheck and coupons for the Tilapia Parchment Bakes from last week. And now I realize that I can’t find my receipt anywhere. I always save receipts so I have no clue where it could be. But anyways, I spent ~$9 and I saved ~$60 so it was a good trip.

I was very excited about my Publix shopping trip yesterday. I got $145 dollars worth of groceries for $5! I took advantage of all of the overage deals and got some other great free products. The best part about this shopping trip for anyone who is reading this is that most of these great deals are still available.

-I also used one $5 off of a $55 purchase competitor coupon from Winn-Dixie. If I had realized my before coupon total was so high I could have used 2 of them to make this entire purchase almost entirely free.

Totals-
Total Before Coupons- $144.98
Total w/ Tax After Coupons- $5.16
Savings- $139.82

That’s about $145 dollars of groceries for $5!!! The best part is that I had a missed coupon and receipt that I brought to customer service and got $5 back. So that was like getting everything for .16¢!
