2019 End of July thru Start of Sept Thrifts

I am trying to get better about posting individual shopping trips but I had a few unexpectedly busy months. I am still posting these pictures in a group because it helps me to remember where/when I got my items and what I paid for them. Some of the items here were purchased to sell but most were purchased for me or my family. I will add little updates to this post eventually as items sell.

I was really excited about the above set of 4 fluffy towels and hand towels for $5 on the left above. On the right, there are other hand towels that I probably paid about $5 for.

I found the above wreath for $4.99 and the can holder stand for $7.99.

All of the bags in the above picture were from a $1 bag sale. Including the leather Giani Bernini bag and the green gorilla Kiplinger bag. I was especially excited about the small fold up back pack that you can’t see very well on the bottom right. I always like to have a small extra bag when I travel.

There is an above close up of the $1 green Kiplinger bag and black $3 The Sak bag.

I got the above Giani Bernini wallet and shirt for about $3 each and the shoes for me were $5.99.

I got the above Lilly Pulitzer dress to resell for $12 which is much higher than my usual but it’s in perfect condition.

I got the above set of Target pictures for $4.50, they are in like new condition. Now I have to decide if I want to keep them or sell them.

I’m really excited about finding these black Ariat leather riding boots for $10. I do really well with Ariat boots.

The two pairs of shoes above were part of a $1 shoe sale. The pair on the right are Ariat brand and weren’t in great shape but I fixed them up a bit.

Update- The Ariat boots sold for $20 + shipping.

All of the Items pictured below cost $2.50 or less each. Most items cost less than $2. Most were purchased for me or my family with a few items to sell mixed in like the overalls and True Religion Capris.

My mom asked me to look for hand towels and stove burner covers and that day I found new stove burner covers and hand towels! She should request items more often!

5-5-19 Thrift Finds – Henri Bendel Purse, Lingerie Chest, Baby Uggs, Ariat Boots

I had a great thrift day at the Boys & Girls club thrift shop last week. I don’t shop there often because it’s a little out of my way and the prices can be a little high but I will definitely be making my way over there more often! The above Henri Bendel Purse that I found for $5.99 will probably sell for over $100. It’s my first time finding that brand. I will update this post as these items sell.

I have been looking for a lingerie chest for about 3 years now. This one is in great condition and was $69.

The above baby UGGs were too cute to pass up for $3.99. They do need to be fixed with suede cleaner eventually.

The above Ariat boots were $2.99. I sold a plain pair in bad condition for $30 two hours after listing so I grabbed these right away. I think they will sell for $50-80.

For $1.75 the above Candies backpack is very on trend for the small backpack craze. I sold another one recently with no brand name.

I thin these kids overalls were $2 but I have sold several pairs of overalls recently.

This Lululemon top is only my second time finding it secondhand. It doesn’t have a size tag but I still think it will sell.

I found the above items in a .50 cent bag sale.

I also found some clothes for me for work including the green pants, comfortable suit jacket and purple sweater that I am really happy with. I also love the Trader Joe’s refrigerator bag as those are great to keep in the car. The Rainbow Dash backpack I will sell on Poshmark. The above teal sweater had holes all through it which was a bummer because it was really cute!

Overall, a great day of thrifting. Two thrift shops and lots of great finds!

4-5-19 Thrift Finds- 4 Pottery Barn Kids $80 Chairs

I spent $12 at a thrift shop for these 4 Pottery Barn kids chairs. They are perfect for the shabby chic look. They retail for about $80 each usually. I’m not sure how I will price them or where the best place to sell them would be. Any suggestions are welcome.

3-28-19 Thrift Finds- Nikes and Boots

This is a smaller haul than usual but I’m trying to post these updates more frequently. I mostly take pictures in my garage before I wash the items and clean them either for myself or to sell. However, I also post these pictures for myself so that I can remember where I bought various items and how much I paid. I enjoy posting updates to these posts when items sell. These boots were $2 each and will go on Poshmark unless my mom wants them. She gets first choice!

Update- I gave the above brown boots to a relative.

The above shoes and red target shirt were .50 cents each at a yard sale. The shoes are already listed on Poshmark as I know someone who has had good luck selling knock of Birkenstock style shoes and I’m experimenting. The Target shirt below will go to a relative who works there.

Update- The above sandals sold for $17 + Shipping on Poshmark.

I bought some other clothes. The dress pants were $2.50 and the other items were $2 or less. They were mostly for me and I have already worn some of them to teach this week. I did buy the one plus size shirt to sell.

I was excited to buy these Nike’s for $1. The tops were in excellent shape but the bottoms were dirty so I’m still trying to clean them before I list them on Poshmark.

3-24-19 Thrift Finds- $2 Shoes to Resell

Everything pictured was $2 or less each and most of the items pictured were for resale, especially the shoes. I will try on some of the shirts to see if I like them myself too. I had some good luck finding some Nikes which tend to sell really well. Not all of them were in great condition so I am slowly washing them. These aren’t my best pictures but I am already photographing and listing them on Poshmark. You can see my Poshmark closet HERE.

Update- The above black and white Nikes were in horrible shape and sold for $15 + Shipping on Poshmark.

Update- The above mostly black Nikes sold for $22 + Shipping on Poshmark.

1-19-19 – Austin Bins Trip

Updates- The black Sam Edelman riding boots (top center) sold for $50 + shipping on Poshmark

The black Ariat boots (top right) sold for $35 + shipping on Poshmark

I visited my sister in Austin, Tx and we both love going to the Goodwill Outlet bins and I bought home some of my finds. They all cost $1.49 per pound or less because they charged us $14 for a whole cart. I didn’t have to pay to bring anything home because on the plane because we used the free bags that came with our tickets on Jet Blue airline.

Updates- The colorful Papillon Birkenstocks on the bottom right sold for $26 + shipping on Poshmark

– The tan Birkenstocks next to them sold for $50 + shipping on Poshmark.

– The red Toms sold for $20 + shipping on Poshmark

1-3-18 Thrift Finds- Birkenstocks, $1.99 Chairs, and Stuff to Sell

I was able to fit in a couple of small thrift trips in a busy week and had some great finds including the above Birkenstocks for $5. A great tip to find these is to make sure you check the men’s section. These resell really well. I think they are ugly!

Update- These Birkenstocks sold for $42 + Shipping on Poshmark.

These chairs actually match my dining room set and were marked down to only $1.99 at Goodwill! I never see furniture this cheap at Goodwill and they are in great condition. Ignore the messy garage in the background.

I bought the items in the above and below pictures for all $2 or less each. I got a few things for me and a few things to sell. I will update this post as items sell.

I got the above beautiful sweater for $2 for my mom who works at Target.

12-29-18 Thrift Finds- Sam E, Toms, True Religion

I had a lot of fun thrifting today for stuff to sell on Poshmark. I’m trying to be more selective about the items I source to sell since I have limited time to create listings.

Today I bought:

– True Religion Men’s Jeans .33 cents

– J. Crew Shorts .33 cents

– Green Patterened Anthropology Skirt $3.49

– Kate Spade Black Heels $5.99

– Lilly Pulitzer Tumbler $1.49

– Sam Edelman Gray Shoes FREE (Half off color and a $5 coupon)

– Toms Leopard Print Heels $2.99

I still have to wash and list everything but I will update this post as items sell. 🙂

12-4-18 Thrift Finds- Giant Foam ABC Mat and Stuff to Sell

I have had a lot of luck at the thrift shop this past week. I found this amazing alphabet foam mat for my nephew’s room, it’s the size of an area rug. His mom has one in the living room that looks more like a rug but she likes that it’s easier to clean than a rug and still pads the knees of little ones. It was $20 but they retail for over $100 new and it was in great condition.

I bought the above Polo sweater, J Crew jean jacket, Free People Top and Michael Kors blue dress to sell. I think I will keep the exercise jacket. All $2 or less.

One of the finds of the day were the above Melissa & Doug wood clock toys ($2 each) in amazing condition. I will give them to my nephews for Christmas.

I was please with the above clothes I found for me.

All of the items in the above picture are to sell. Starting with the stripped French Connection dress, Lulus Romper, FUBU snakeskin pants, Tobasco and alligator polo (so strange!) and Armani Exchange skirt. The pants are $2.50 and everything else was $2 each or less.

The 4 items in this picture were from a quick trip to Goodwill. The Darth Vader mug may end up as a Christmas gift (or we might keep it!). Goodwill is so expensive compared to our regular thrift shop.

Everything else on this page was generally $2 each or less, unless I have noted otherwise. I definitely have some online listing to do soon. I will wait until winter break after next week.

11-16-18 Rummage Sale Finds – Lilly Pulitzer

I had way too much fun at a local Church rummage sale this weekend. I bought the above 4 Lilly Pulitzer items and the below Johnny Was tunic for around $3 each. These will all be listed on Poshmark soon.

Update- The green palm Lilly Pulitzer dress sold for $70+ shipping on Poshmark.

Update- The blue Lilly Pulitzer ruffle top above sold for $27 + shipping on Poshmark.

I also bought an assortment of dog stuff including the below outfits, doggie bags, god water bottle, harness and leash all for $3.

We had a lot of fun trying these dog items on the pets.

I also purchased the below Black House White Market and Cabi shirt for $3.50 and $2. These will likely also go on Poshmark but if not I could wear them to work.

I also couldn’t resist getting these two handmade snow people. I am replacing my glass Christmas decorations with items that the cat’s can’t break even if they throw them on the floor.
