Ragu and Pasta Combined Deal Here-

*** Ragu Pasta Sauce is on sale B1G1 Free with a coupon for free Pasta when you buy two. Now what you need to know is that it doesn’t specify a brand so you can buy the B1G1 Free Ragu (I got four) and then get two Pasta’s for free. I chose to get Mueller Pasta which is also B1G1. The Ragu coupon will make two pastas free so you really get four FREE because the register will take off the other two for the B1G1 sale making all four FREE! This is an even better deal if you use the (4) .55¢ off Mueller’s Pasta coupons which you are given the chance to print as many as you want.

Here is the deal breakdown-

Buy 4 B1G1 Free Ragu Pasta Sauce, 16-24 oz $2.59 ($1.29)
Buy 4 B1G1 Free Mueller’s Pasta, 12-16 oz, at $1.55 (77¢)
-Use (2) Free Pasta WYB (2) Ragu Pasta Sauces, RP 11/13 (This makes all 4 Pastas free)

11-14-12 Publix Shopping Trip

I’m a little late posting this but we got some good deals, a couple of which are still good, so I still wanted to show it.

We are still getting overages from the Publix clearance section. I wrote about that HERE. Keep in mind every little bit of overage helps to reduce your total.

The NyQuil was also free + profit because we used the $1 off of Vicks coupon from the 10/30 P&G insert paired with a $1 off Publix Stocking Spree coupon (a coupon sheet found hanging on a stand in Publix).

The rest of the items were B1G1 Free but that sale week has now ended. We matched them with coupons to get them very cheap and the cooking cream was free.

Spent- $5.31
Saved-$28.64

Walgreens Cheap Baking Soda and Baking Powder

Today is the last day to take advantage of Walgreens Cheap Baking Soda and Baking Powder. The last page on their ad has a coupon that makes them .50¢ each which is good for baking ingredients. I am also told that there was a Clabber Girl coupon for the baking powder but I have been unable to find it.

Dollar Tree- Household Items For Only $1

My favorite dollar store is Dollar Tree. Every item in the store is $1. I know that there are a lot of people who refuse to shop at dollar stores which I think is silly. I use Dollar Tree to set a lot of my price points (meaning a price I won’t pay over for a specific item). I know that you can find a lot of the items sold at dollar stores for cheaper with coupons but dollar stores like Dollar Tree can help you stay on budget when you don’t have coupons for a specific item you need.

While shopping there the other day with my sister we noticed some items that we thought were particularly good deals. Here are a few of them. Remember all of these items are only $1.

A Bottle of Condensed Laundry Detergent. It says 32 loads which is comparable to brand name bottles.

Dishwasher Detergent and Large Bottles of Dish Soap

Bleach

A Full Pack of Napkins

Lots of Candles and Air Fresheners. These might be a good idea for Christmas Gift Baskets.

A Six Pack of Water. We all know that bottled water is more expensive than refillable bottles but this again serves as a reminder that $2 a bottle for water out of a vending machine is highway robbery.

Spaghetti Sauce and Noodles. Could be a very cheap dinner.

Dollar Tree brand Swiffer Sweeper Refills, Dollar Tree brand Swiffer Dusters, and Dollar Tree brand Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. All of these can be very pricey at regular stores. I tried the last two of these and they worked as well as the name brand but at a much lower price.

So many stores sell these basic household items for so much more than at Dollar Tree even when you consider size and quality. It helps me stay on budget because I never have to pay more than $1 for any of the items on this list. Why pay more when you can get the same items for this cheap?

11-5-11 Free At CVS This Week

This week CVS’s Coupon Machine was giving out coupons for free Illy coffee drinks. *TIP* We had to scan our cards twice for the machine to print the coupon. I have noticed that if you scan your card twice it will often give you different coupons. The Dawn dish soap was on sale for .99¢ and I used .50¢ off coupons from the 10/30 RP to make them .50¢ each. I had $1 CVS bucks which I used to make my total for these three items .02¢. Getting stuff for pennies is my favorite way to shop.

Winn-Dixie Coffee Mate Deal

Winn-Dixie is running a deal for an automatic $1 off when you buy three 16oz coffee mate items. Certain 16oz coffee mate creamers cost 3 for $5. Right in front of the coffee mate section was an in store coupon dispenser with coupons for .55¢ off of one. There are also .50¢ off of one coupons in the 10/30 Red Plum. So for $2.35 total or .78¢ each I was able to get three coffee creamers. I did this deal twice because we drink so much coffee in our house. These don’t expire until Feb. but we will have used all 6 bottles long before then. Unfortunately I believe that the automatic $1 off expires today but you would still be able to get three for $3.50 or under with the .50¢ off coupons.

*Note* anything bought at Winn-Dixie also contributes to Fuelperks Rewards to get cheaper gas.

Making a Profit off of Publix Clearance

Remember my post about always looking out for stuff on clearance? Well I noticed these trial sized items on sale at Publix for change, went home and realized that I had coupons for them. Not only were some of these items free but I was paid overage to take them out of the store. That’s the way I like to shop!

CVS Free Candy Corn This Week – 10/23/11 to 10/29/11

Cost .99 cents. Receive .99 cents ECBS (Extra Care Bucks- CVS dollars). Equals Free!

Save $5 off of Any Purchase at Target.com

Target.com has a great deal going on (especially this close to the Holidays). If you use the code TGT75HFN it will take $5 off of any order with no minimum. You still have to pay shipping but my sister got a great deal on a makeup kit for .99 (just paying shipping) and it looks like others have found great deals too.

Thanks, hip2save.com

Edit: I just tried to use this code and it didn’t work for me. It worked for my sister yesterday so possibly they canceled it.

Why You Should Always Browse the Clearance Section

I was at my local Walgreens a couple days ago when I spotted a cart containing the stuff pictured above. I don’t generally carry a lot of coupons on me when I go shopping, mostly just the ones I hope to use. I still like to browse the clearance sections at stores to see if I see anything that I know I have coupons for at home. The problem was that I would often forget exactly what was there and the prices. Now that I have a smart phone (that I bought secondhand for really cheap by the way) I have started taking pictures so that I can go home and look up any coupons I might have.

You can find coupons that are available for any product by using free coupon databases on different websites. I most often use the coupon database on SouthernSavers.com. I did find some coupons that would have made some of this stuff even cheaper, but I didn’t find any coupons that would have made anything free or dirt cheap which is always my goal. I didn’t end up going back this time but I’m glad I looked because this is always a chance to get some free stuff.
