We decided in our household that we are going to recommit ourselves to eating healthy (something we have been slacking on lately). The problem being that it is A LOT more expensive and time consuming to eat healthy. So I went to the supermarket resigned that I would be spending more on groceries than I wanted to but knowing it was better for us. However, I was pleasantly surprised that these were my totals-
Totals-
Spent- $31.20
Saved- $83.51
That’s about $110 worth of groceries for $30!
Sometimes when I go to the grocery store I only buy the coupon deals (free or cheap items) but this trip shows an actual grocery shopping trip including all of the things I needed to buy. I’m especially excited that it included the healthy/healthier items including
– Whole Wheat Deli Bread (2 Loaves Free)
– Natural Kraft Sliced Cheese
– Smart Balance Fat Free Milk
– Smart Balance Butter with Olive Oil
– Two Bags of Frozen Fruit
– Think Steaks
– Luna Bars as snacks for work on clearance for .75 cents each
– Three Heads of Romaine Lettuce
– Bananas
I also bought some items that were not as healthy but were free such as the noodles. I also bought the soda and velveeta cheese to stock up for a party I will be having soon.
While I do not have time to list out the deals that I did individually I will direct you to the two sites that helped me to compile them couponaholic.net and southernsavers.com. I also added my own deals to their lists such as this deal for cheap Kraft sliced cheese and two free loaves of bread click HERE (Shopaholic Savers Deals- 2 Free Loaves of Bread and Cheap Kraft Cheese) to see it.
