  1. my coupon wouldn’t scan. They say if it can not scan, there is nothing they can do. so do I call customer service to fix the machine to accept that coupon or not pursue/bother trying to get the deal

    • At my Publix I didn’t have any trouble and the cashiers (I believe) simply pressed an accept button. Unfortunately each Publix probably has slightly different rules regarding coupons. I have also noticed that the two Publix stores that are closest to my house differ slightly in their coupon acceptance. I would suggest politely speaking to customer service or a manager regarding your stores specific preferences regarding coupons. I am lucky enough that my sister works at Publix and I run my deals past her to make sure I am following her store’s coupon acceptance policy. For example, I will never try to get money back from coupon overages because this is highly frowned upon by Publix.
