Recent Free Stuff

Who says nothing in life is free? I love free stuff! Here is some of the stuff that we have recently received.

My boyfriend and I needed a toaster for our new house and I was given this one at my work because we had an extra.

I don’t buy a lot of candy. There are only two adults in our household so when I do get candy I set it aside for when we have a craving. It’s better than buying candy bars. This falls under the every little bit counts category.

My boyfriend likes to have some soda in the house from time to time. He wanted me to buy some today when I went shopping . I work at an apartment office and people give me all kinds of stuff. Today I was given this 12 pack of soda by someone who didn’t want it. I’m was excited to have one less thing to buy later (It was unopened when I got it).

Across the street from my work is an Albertsons where we buy many of our work items. Albertsons usually has some kind of “game” running where you get game pieces at the register. They recently has Yahtzee and I won this box of Wheatables. I had idea what they were but I like trying new things.

s6300667The other day a trusted resident/friend gave our office a Spanish rice dish. That was my boyfriend and I’s dinner that we didn’t have to cook. I try to use all of my resources to the fullest and it really does save money. The stuff on this page is worth at least $10 that I can now put into my savings account.

Free Subscription to All You Magazine

allyou

For those of you who have never heard of it, All You magazine is a magazine that “pays for itself” because it is full of coupons and money saving ideas. I love reading it for frugal advice and information and I have wanted a subscription for a long time. However, my mom and aunt love magazines and give me lots of them so I have refused to buy any magazine subscription, but I had enough free amazon.com egift cards from Swagbucks (a search engine you get rewards for searching on) to get a free subscription.

Now when my copies arrive in the mail I will be even more excited because I know they were free (and I love free stuff) and they will also save me money.

My Family’s Recent Frugal Deals

pig

I am very interested in ways that people save money without sacrificing their quality of life, especially when it also saves time and energy, so I decided to list some of the ways that my family and I have saved money recently.

– I bought a huge, beautiful entertainment center that is much nicer than I had even hoped for and it was only $25 at a Habitat thrift store. The money went to a good cause and I have wanted an entertainment center like that for three years. My parents bought the same brand but a slightly less nice model new at a wholesale store for $200. Savings- $175.00

– I use a binder type planner and instead of buying new pages I bought a single hole punch for .99 cents and printed and made my own using PrintablePlanners.net. Click HERE to print your own. – Savings- $12.00

– My sister and I found two matching solid wooden bookshelves being thrown away. I needed bookshelves since my cheap pressboard bookshelf fell apart after my last move (I was still using the three remaining shelves). I priced other cheap pressboard book shelves at $25-35 dollars each but the ones I got for free were much nicer. Savings- Over $70.00

– I recently found a perfect fitting suit jacket at Goodwill for $3.99. The brand is the same as a suit jacket I bought on sale new a year ago for $45 dollars. And I got a 10% discount for showing my student ID. Savings- $45.00

– For a family birthday we went to GatorLand. They are having a sale until the end of Feb. where Florida residents get in for only $9.99 vs. the usual $22.00. Savings- $72.00

– Making huge family breakfasts- eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, and coffee, instead of going out to eat during a family weekend vacation. Savings- $100.00

– Getting 6 small bags of pet food for free in the mail just by signing up for free samples. Click HERE to see a picture. Savings- $12.00

– Getting the books that I have wanted to read recently from the library instead of buying them- Savings- $65.00

– Doing my own nails. Click HERE to learn how to do a 6 Step French Manicure– Savings- $25.00

– Couponing for groceries and other household products (just this month) Click HERE to see where I find my deals. – Savings- Hundreds!

Swagbucks Has Coupons!

I'm a Swagbucks Influencer - Start Earning Now

I am so excited that I have discovered that Swagbucks has coupons! You get ten Swagbucks for every coupon you print through their site and use at the store. They say it can take up to six weeks to receive credit but the good part is that they seem to be using coupons.com coupons so instead of printing them off of coupons.com I can print them through Swagbucks just as easily and get an extra reward for using coupons I would already be using! If you haven’t yet joined Swagbucks you can join through my referral link

Publix Christmas Clearance

My sister and I went to Publix to go grocery shopping yesterday and we couldn’t help looking at the Publix Christmas clearance. They had a lot of candy and some decorations on sale. My favorite find was several types of Publix Christmas reusable gift bags. These gift bags can be reused over and over again and they only cost .50 cents, which is a lot cheaper than most paper gift bags that rip easily. My family already had a very eco-friendly Christmas this year as far as wrapping went. We used comics, store bags, reused gift bags and recyclable wrapping paper. We also like to give out gift bags (usually full of items we get for free couponing) and these .50 cent bags are also perfect for that.

Free Stuff in the Mail Last Week

Last week I received a lot of Free Stuff in the mail-

– 1 pair of Sleep Pretty in Pink Headphones

– 2 Coupons for Free Excedrin

– 1 Sample of Vaseline Intensive Care Handcream w/ a $1.00 off coupon

– 1 Travel Size Pack of Starbucks Natural Fusions Vanilla Coffee w/ a $1.5o off coupon

– 1 Coupon for Free Dream Water at Walmart (Unfortunately my Walmart doesn’t carry it!)

Viewpoints- Free $10 Amazon Gift Card

I’m excited to announce that Viewpoints is offering another free $10 Amazon Gift Card. You have to join their site and write ten product reviews. I participated the last time they offered this deal and I got my gift card by e-mail as soon as it ended. The reviews were easy (I reviewed ball pythons and shampoo among other objects at my house). I hear they have great customer service and their gift cards are easy to redeem. Click HERE for the official rules.

Swagbucks!

I am fascinated by this site. Simply for using the swagbucks search engine (which is actually powered by google) instead of Google, Yahoo, or another site I get swagbucks which I can cash in for free gift cards. It’s a legit way to get a lot of really cool stuff for doing what I usually do every day- searching the internet. It’s entirely free and fun. Click my banner above to join so we will both get points!

Just Received My Free Pink Cookware Set

I just received my free Pink Cookware Set from P&G. A couple months ago P&G offered this cookware set free for anyone who mailed in a receipt with a $25 (before coupons) purchase of any P&G items. After coupons I only spent $3 and change  on the products I bought and I’m really excited about this really nice cookware set! I will definitely do this deal again next year if they offer it.

$20 P&G Rebate

P&G is offering a $20 mail in rebate for people who purchased $50 worth of certain P&G products before coupons.

The picture above shows what I purchased that was included in the deal.

Before Coupons the total for these products was- $54.86

After Coupons my total was approximately- $7.50

And this counts for my $20 mail in rebate

= $12.50 Profit and $47.36 in coupon savings

I wasn’t going to do this deal until I realized that I had already done P&G deals worth $38 before coupons so I decided it was worth my time. All of the P&G beauty products I bought were for Christmas gifts or things I will use.

Click HERE to go to this deal’s website. The link to the rebate is in the top banner.
