P&G Rebate Card

A couple of months ago I discovered that I had already purchased some Pantene items that qualified me for a P&G $5 rebate. I have done P&G rebates before with great results. I was however, surprised today that I received my $5 rebate in the form of a VISA debit card instead of a check. While I would prefer cold, hard cash I think it’s actually really neat. I wonder if all of their future rebates will be debit cards.

10-01-12 Winn Dixie Shopping Trip

Today, I ran to Winn-Dixie because it is the closest grocery store to my house (even if it’s not the cheapest) but not before I checked the Ad to scope out the best deals.

I got-

– $1 off of Spinach

– $2.89 for a Steak

– B1G1 Free Tilapia

– Cans of Black Beans on sale for .58 cents each and then used a $1 off of 2 canned goods Winn-Dixie Catalina coupon from a previous trip

– Buy 1 Pound of Winn-Dixie Deli Cheese receive 1 Pound of Hormel Deli ham for free!

I was very pleased with these deals! I sometimes find Winn-Dixie to be more expensive but they do have good sales on certain items.

If you live where you are able to receive an Orlando Sentinel subscription you should call or e-mail them to request a free subscription to the El Sentinel, the Spanish version of the paper. Sometimes it also contains an extra coupon insert, the Smart Source in Spanish, that usually has different coupons than the regular Smart Source. This is a great way to get a free paper and free coupons. It also usually contains the Parade magazine.

Why You Should Always Look at the Coupons in Your Magazines

My sister recently found a coupon for this free Clairol Professionals Item at Sally’s Beauty Salon in the September issue of Allure Magazine. We were next door at Target when we stopped in and snagged it for free. She didn’t even have to pay tax. It doesn’t expire until the end of October so if you get this magazine you should look for it. I hear it can also be found in the September InStyle Magazine.

9-8-12 Publix Shopping Trip

We decided in our household that we are going to recommit ourselves to eating healthy (something we have been slacking on lately). The problem being that it is A LOT more expensive and time consuming to eat healthy. So I went to the supermarket resigned that I would be spending more on groceries than I wanted to but knowing it was better for us. However, I was pleasantly surprised that these were my totals-

Totals-
Spent- $31.20
Saved- $83.51

That’s about $110 worth of groceries for $30!

Sometimes when I go to the grocery store I only buy the coupon deals (free or cheap items) but this trip shows an actual grocery shopping trip including all of the things I needed to buy. I’m especially excited that it included the healthy/healthier items including

– Whole Wheat Deli Bread (2 Loaves Free)

– Natural Kraft Sliced Cheese

– Smart Balance Fat Free Milk

– Smart Balance Butter with Olive Oil

– Two Bags of Frozen Fruit

– Think Steaks

– Luna Bars as snacks for work on clearance for .75 cents each

– Three Heads of Romaine Lettuce

– Bananas

I also bought some items that were not as healthy but were free such as the noodles. I also bought the soda and velveeta cheese to stock up for a party I will be having soon.

While I do not have time to list out the deals that I did individually I will direct you to the two sites that helped me to compile them couponaholic.net and southernsavers.com. I also added my own deals to their lists such as this deal for cheap Kraft sliced cheese and two free loaves of bread click HERE (Shopaholic Savers Deals- 2 Free Loaves of Bread and Cheap Kraft Cheese) to see it.
