Making a Profit off of Publix Clearance

Remember my post about always looking out for stuff on clearance? Well I noticed these trial sized items on sale at Publix for change, went home and realized that I had coupons for them. Not only were some of these items free but I was paid overage to take them out of the store. That’s the way I like to shop!

10-20-11 Publix Shopping Trip – For the Free Pink Cookware Set

I was determined to make it to Publix today and to come up with a deal so that I could mail away for my free Pink Kitchenware Set. I received one last year after spending only $3 after coupons. This year I did even better! Click HERE to see my set from last year and to find out how you can get your own this year. Remember you have to spend $25 in P&G products before coupons and I was trying to spend as little as possible after coupons.

This is what I bought and the coupons I used-

(1) Crest Complete Toothpaste, $3.21
-$2 off Crest Complete toothpaste, Scope Dual Blast rinse, or Oral-B Complete floss or toothbrush, SS 9/11
Makes it $1.21

(2) Travel Size Old Spice Body Wash, $1.39
-$1 off Old Spice product, 1.7 oz +, PG 10/02
Makes it $.39

(1) Travel Size Nyquil, $1.29
-$1 off PG 10/02
Makes it $.29

(2) Covergirl Eyeliners, $4.49
-$8/2 CoverGirl face products, PG 10/02
-$2/2 CoverGirl Simply (Target coupon), excl trial size, RP 9/25
Makes it Free+

(2) Covergirl Face Powder, $4.79
-$8/2 CoverGirl face products, PG 10/02
-$2/2 CoverGirl Simply (Target coupon), excl trial size, RP 9/25
Makes it Free+

Total- $2.18

Saved- $25.00

This deal worked even better than I expected because of the Target coupons that I found last minute. I got some great stuff that was needed by me and my family and I will now be able to mail away for my free Pink Set!

EDIT: I have now received the new set in the mail. Click HERE to see it.

Free P&G Pink Kitchenware Set

I am so excited that P&G has decided to offer this deal again! I did it last year and I still use the items I received in my kitchen every day! They were high quality items that really lasted.

How it works-

In summary, you have to buy $25 worth of P&G products in one transaction and you can mail away for a free pink Kitchenware Set.

Why it’s such a good deal-

The $25 total is before coupons and last year I only spent about $3 after coupons and still received my free set!

Click HERE for the official form.

My Set From Last Year-

9-11-11 Couponing Trip

I had a rare Sunday off of work so I decided to go couponing! I haven’t had the time to do a huge couponing trip in a long time. My mom came with me and it was a lot of fun!

I then used my Register Rewards towards something I needed to buy anyway because with store dollars it’s like being able to spend the money twice. I try to make sure I use the store dollars in a way that I am able to get the most for my money.

On Both Transactions-

Saved- $60.00

I’ll be able to use the CVS dollars on my next trip and because I spent less than I received back it was like getting everything I bought for free!

Publix

At Publix I got a lot of great deals. I looked at the weekly sales and both the yellow and green coupon booklets that are currently out. I did a lot of deals and also bought a few things that we needed even though there weren’t coupons for them. It has been a long time since I have done a large couponing trip for groceries. Those tend to be the most time consuming because there are the most items. After the results I had I know why I should do them more often.

Spent- $34.53

Saved- $65.94

I love getting free stuff in the mail. This week I got a free yogurt coupon that I had signed up for and also a free Publix magazine. If you don’t get Publix’s free magazines I highly recommend signing up for them. They are FREE, there are several of them and they often have coupons. You can get a subscription form from the Ad/Coupon stand at the front of the store or you can get the online. HERE is the link to Publix Family Style.

More Publix Veggies and Soup

This week’s Publix deals on soup and canned veggies were so good that I went back and got 20 cans of Green Giant veggies and 20 cans of Progresso soup. That’s 40 canned goods for about $10 with a savings of $55. My pantry is now very stocked. Click HERE to see the coupon match ups and to print the coupons directly.
