Local Deals- Free $10 at Burlington Coat Factory

If you live in Central Florida check your mail for their flyer from the new Burlington Coat Factory that is opening in Sanford, Fl. It is for $10 off of a $10 purchase basically like a free $10 gift card. I’m excited to check it out.

How to Get Free Stuff on Your Birthday!

I love the month of October for many reasons, but it also happens to be my birthday month! This year at at the beginning of the month I did something that I have always wanted to do. I signed up for all of our local restaurants e-mail/mail lists to see how much free stuff I could get. I made sure to do this a few weeks before my actual birthday to make sure I would be in their systems in time. I have been really surprised by all of the stuff I have gotten so far (I didn’t even print all of the deals for the picture above) and it isn’t even my birthday yet. Denny’s was the only one that had to be used on my actual birthday for most of these deals I had a week or two to use the coupons.

Note- It is considered VERY rude not to tip on the pre-coupon or pre-gift card total of your bill so please keep in mind that you will still have to tip even if your bill is zero, you are still taking up your server’s table, time and energy when you go out to eat and they have to make a living too.

I signed up for-

– Ruby Tuesday- A Coupon for a Free Burger and a B1G1 Free Coupon for joining

– I-Hop- A Free Birthday Meal and another free meal for joining, the waitress also told us that if I had a coupon and my boyfriend had a coupon (with different names on them) then we could use both of them at the same time but you may want to check with you I-Hop location first

– Denny’s- A Free Birthday Meal (Only on my actual birthday with ID, I don’t know if this was even a coupon or if you can just show up with your ID) and a 20% off the entire check coupon for joining

– Moe’s- Free Queso for joining and a free birthday meal

– Logan’s Roadhouse- A Free Small desert with purchase of an adult meal and a $5 off of a $20 purchase coupon

– Rita’s Italian Ice- A B1G1 Free Coupon for joining and a free italian ice for my bday

– Zaxby’s- They said they would be mailing me something but I haven’t gotten it yet

– Steak and Shake- Nothing yet

What I was already signed up for-

– Victoria Secret (I have their card with a zero balance of course)- A Free $10 gift card

– Sundown Naturals- A $1 off printable coupon

– Panera – A Free Sweet or Pastry with their free reward card (Good for 60 days)

– Texas Roadhouse- Free Appetizer for joining, nothing for my bday yet

– Redbox- A Free Movie Rental Code good for my bday and about two weeks after

– Swagbucks.com- 50 free Swagbucks for my birthday! I did have to confirm the e-mail to get them.

Note- I will continue to update this list if I get more stuff!

Recent Kohl’s Deals

Kohl’s recently sent me a free $10 gift card in the mail (in the photo on the left) and I found this 15% off coupon in their ad this week that came in the Sunday paper. I really needed a new pair of running shoes and I thought I would take a look. I found a pair of Nike running shoes on sale from $59.99 for $44. I used both coupons and they saved me about $16. Thankfully I had a couple of Kohl’s gift cards that covered the rest. I generally treat gift cards like cash. If I wouldn’t buy it if I didn’t have a gift card I wouldn’t buy it with a gift card. I have had the two Kohl’s gift cards for over a year each but I just didn’t need anything before now. I love my new running shoes and I especially love that they didn’t cost me a cent. 🙂

Three Free at CVS

In the last week or two I was able to go to CVS and use my coupons for the Free CVS Sunscreen and also for a Free unreal bar (both coupons now expired). CVS frequently gives out coupons for free items and I always try to pick them up. I believe that, at least in my area, they do not charge tax on free items so that makes them a great place to pick up NEW items totally for free. I also was able to get a free CVS gift card for $25 when I picked up a prescription with a Walgreens competitor coupon. See Getting Free Gift Cards with Prescriptions.

I apologize for the lack of updates lately. I’ve been feeling under the weather and today I went to the doctor and found out I have strep throat. Not fun. However, being the frugal person that I am I tried to look on the bright side. I had to pay $14 for 2 prescriptions but I was lucky and had two $10 Target gift card with a new or transferred prescription coupons. You can get these in a variety of ways- their weekly ad, catalina coupons, or home mailers. I didn’t know that you can use more than one at the same time. I believe the limit is actually 4. So I actually made a $6 profit in gift cards. I am always on the look out for gift card with prescription coupons. You never know when you will need one, no one plans on getting sick.

Lately, Walgreens has been giving out tons of coupons for free $25 dollar gift cards with transferred prescriptions. But I called and they are ONLY for transferred prescriptions which is why I went to target today. If you have to be sick you might as well get a free gift card (or two)!

Make a Profit with the Publix Kimberly-Clark $10 Rebate and Free Stuff

If you haven’t yet found the above coupon flyer in your Publix you should look for it. In addition to having some really great coupons it contains a form for a $10 Publix Gift Card rebate when you spend $35 on certain products before coupons. All of these coupons expire on 2/9/12. There are multiple scenarios that make this a moneymaker deal. My thanks to couponaholic.net for putting together several scenarios that make this profitable. Click HERE or HERE to read them. – and Used 4 Buy One Kotex Item and Get One Lady Speed Stick Free Publix coupons from the booklet (This made 4 of the deodorants free)
Cost after coupons- All Free

I also used a Printable $5 off of a $25 purchase competitor coupon from Save-A-Lot

Subtotal- $3.42
Tax- $1.98
Grand Total- $5.40
Saved- $31.97 + $10 Publix Gift Card Rebate

My pre-coupon and tax total was $35.39 which qualifies me for the rebate and will be a $4.60 profit plus over $30 worth of free stuff.

If you have never heard of Swagbucks or are hesitant to try it I suggest you take a look at the four amazon.com gift cards in the picture below that I have won simply by searching on their site! In a nutshell swagbucks is a search engine but you randomly earn points for searching that can be redeemed for prizes and gift cards.

I don’t know yet what I’m going to buy but it will actually be shopping for free which is what Shopaholic Savers is all about!

I’m excited to announce that Viewpoints is offering another free $10 Amazon Gift Card. You have to join their site and write ten product reviews. I participated the last time they offered this deal and I got my gift card by e-mail as soon as it ended. The reviews were easy (I reviewed ball pythons and shampoo among other objects at my house).
